Celestial Detective: The Fires of the High Tang

While pursuing a criminal, police detective Song Ruozhao touched an ancient Tang dynasty mirror and opened her eyes amid the blood and flames of a city being slaughtered during the An Lushan Rebellion. After exposing her identity while saving a child, she uses modern forensic techniques to solve cases and incorporates mechanical principles into crossbows, forming a women’s Thunder Squad to shatter the rebel army’s iron ranks. When a warlord whose name is written in history trembles beneath her gun, the way back to the modern era opens just as her lover is dying. If she must wager history itself to save his life, then in this thousand-year pursuit, who is the real prey?
