Jiangshi: The Hilarious Heretic Who Refuses to Follow the Rules

A wedding-gown ghost who's a shameless flirt, a silly, sweet ghost in white who hanged herself, a sharp-tongued, hot-tempered little fox spirit, and a martial-arts expert snake demon who's adorably clueless. I was born with a body of blood and bone. Oh, don't get the wrong idea, it's nothing special. I just happen to see things I shouldn't. This is still a chaotic age. Though it's the Age of Dharma's Decline, demons and monsters are everywhere. I run into ghosts every few days, so I have no choice but to seek out teachers everywhere. The Taoist temple says I have no talent for cultivation and won't take me. I go to a monk, and he says my heart is impure and I have no affinity with Buddhism. But I already shaved my head, and now you're telling me this? I've run out of options. To hell with saving face. First I put on a monk's robe and barged into Uncle Jiu's house to grab a portrait. Then I changed into Taoist robes and came back to knock on his door. I'm desperate for a little merit, so all I can do is sing, “The sun sets in the west! Night falls, and every household shuts its door...” “Hey! You old geezer, what are you looking at? Why are you glaring? I'm talking to you! Holy crap, run! That old man is leaking electricity!” He turned to the man beside him, who was smoking a long pipe. The man had a very conspicuous black patch over one eye. “Uncle Jiu, what do you think?” “What do I think? To hell with that! Give me back my Grandmaster's spirit tablet, right now.” “Hehehe! Uncle Jiu, don't be so stingy. Let me borrow the Grandmaster for a couple of days. I'll return him when I'm done.” “Miss, those jade feet of yours! Do they stink? They don't? I don't believe you. Let me have a taste... Hey! Don't hit me! I was joking. Can't you take a joke?”
