The Miracle Continent was once the most prosperous and flourishing cradle of civilization in the world. Its glory shone like the stars across all the realms, inscribing two thousand years of splendor into the scroll of time.
The day it all began was like darkness suddenly swallowing a candle flame: without warning, yet unstoppable. First, a gray veil covered the sky, and even the sunlight seemed filtered through a thin layer of gauze, losing its former warmth. War spread like wildfire between nations and among races. In the struggle for dominion over the Miracle Continent, former allies turned their swords on one another, and brotherhood was sacrificed at the altar of power. Amid the chaos and destruction, the most terrible disaster struck: the Atlas Gem, which had slumbered at the heart of the continent and been forged by the gods themselves to imprison the Hell Demon King Kundun, shattered with a thunderous crash beneath the trampling hooves of human cavalry. It broke into eight streaks of light that scattered on the wind, vanishing into the far corners of the world, where its whereabouts remain unknown.
The gates of hell were thrown open, and Kundun, the Demon King of Terror, that dreadful being from the abyss, returned to the Miracle Continent with the flames of revenge. Wherever it went, cities became scorched earth and the ground split into deep chasms. Wherever its gaze fell, the flame of hope in people's hearts was extinguished by the icy grip of fear, leaving nothing but endless despair. The demon legions swept forth with hellfire, erasing every trace of civilization in their wake. The Miracle Continent groaned in agony, and its former glory was reduced to broken walls and ruins, which whispered of its past splendor in the wind.
