Family and country, hatred and vengeance, love that cannot be returned, and a marriage that begins before love. A cool and aloof male lead. Xiyao is loyal to her country and her family’s honor. Though she is utterly unwilling to marry far from home, she must do so. Her tangled romance with the third prince is impossible to sever. She cannot forget her former love, though she is now another man’s wife, while the third prince is to marry the princess of Cangling as his principal consort. For the sake of her country, she has sacrificed herself.
He Jie is the son of Cangling’s strongest general and the dream lover every girl in the country wants to marry. Unfortunately, He Jie is aloof and uninterested in romance. He doesn’t care about the marriage arranged for him, since it is a political alliance and he has no choice but to accept. He figures he can find a kindred spirit someday. But though he knows nothing about love, he finds himself jealous when Xiyao secretly meets the man she loves. As he and Xiyao gradually share a life together, He Jie never expected to fall in love. He keeps waiting for Xiyao to confess her feelings.
I think the writing is good😌, but it would be better if the male protagonist could be described more about his appearance and add some vivid language.
