During the Republic of China, police detective Chen Shuanyi and her partner Lu Chuan were ordered to investigate a series of bizarre incidents in Qinghe Village. In the dilapidated ancestral hall and dusty files, they gradually uncovered an old case that had been deliberately buried for twenty years. When the investigation touches the boundary between power and family, the two discover that the truth is far crueler than the appearance.
