Shen Zhiyan, a cold-hearted architect who had not returned home for eight years, was forced to return to an old alley to recuperate due to an accidental injury, but he bumped into the warm life of his neighbor's "brother" Lu Xingmian.
Lu Xingmian was like the blazing summer sun, bursting through the high wall he had built with the fragrance of flowers on his sleeves - the voice calling him for breakfast in the morning, the hot water bottle handed to him on rainy days, and the chattering of household chores at the door of the courtyard late at night, all became ripples in Shen Zhiyan's stagnant life.
He was an isolated island used to being alone, but in the unreserved warmth of the other person, he gradually became greedy for the fireworks; and what Lu Xingmian hid behind the sunshine was a ten-year secret love that he dared not to talk about, from the time when he was a boy who was surrounded by bamboo horses around the bed, to now the temptations that have passed through the years.
The dim lights in the old alley illuminated the two men approaching cautiously, and also reflected their respective scars and struggles. When the cold moonlight meets the hot starlight, and when the boundaries of "brother" are quietly blurred, can they catch the confessions handed to each other and hidden in the evening breeze amid the tug of worldly eyes and hearts?
This is a healing that begins with reunion, and it is also a story of two souls finally finding their destination in the light of the night.

The ordinary life is the kind of life I like to watch. This is the kind of life I like in Qing Yishui's The Domineering President.
