When the Mayan prophecy came true and the old world ended in a cataclysm, the last fire of mankind was sealed in "Noah's Ark" and floated to the sea of stars, entering the mysterious Sixth Solar Age.
Hundreds of years later, the "Cradle" Ark was reduced to a steel cage. The rulers use drug-like chips to paralyze the people, use virtual paradise to cover up the corrupt reality, and label doubters as "system viruses."
Shuo, the mechanical ghost at the bottom of the Ark, can make the scrapped engine breathe with his skillful hands. When his hidden relics of his parents (a metal black box recording the fatal truth) were forcibly removed, his anger drove him to tear apart the virtual illusion - allowing half a block of people to witness the bloody truth for one minute.
The price is heavy. Uncle Wang, an old engineer who raised him, was forced to torture Shuo himself. The old man's trembling fingers tapped out the last Morse code on the torture instrument, burning the gene of resistance into Shuo's bone marrow.
In order to save the paralyzed Ark engine, the ruler made a deal with Shuo. A shocking rebellion broke out among the gears, but ended with Uncle Wang's sacrifice. As punishment, Shuo was stuffed into an escape capsule and shot towards his hometown, the earth, which was declared a forbidden place of death.
