One divination reveals Heaven's secrets; one word brings an emperor crashing down!
Liu Xuanji, a graduate student of Chinese studies, accidentally transmigrates to the Ming dynasty and becomes a down-and-out fortune-teller in the capital.
From the start, he stakes his life on a prophecy to Prince Xin, Zhu Youjian: the Tianqi Emperor will die suddenly, and a new emperor will ascend the throne.
He also reveals secrets from the inner palace, leaving Prince Xin so suspicious and unsettled that he has Liu “invited” to the prince's residence and put under house arrest.
Imprisoned, Liu Xuanji waits for the storm to break.
The Tianqi Emperor dies, and the Chongzhen Emperor takes the throne. His prophecy comes true.
Overnight, this commoner diviner becomes a trusted guest, privy to the new emperor's most confidential discussions.
Faced with the powerful eunuch faction, endless court factionalism, the Later Jin poised to strike, and rebellions raging across the land, he draws on insight and wisdom far ahead of his time to help Chongzhen plan his every move.
From adviser at the prince's residence to tutor to the emperor, he outwits Wei Zhongxian, balances rival factions, reforms entrenched abuses, and strengthens the army and its weapons.
He calms starving refugees at home and repels powerful enemies abroad, turning the tide as the empire teeters on the brink of collapse!
See how a commoner takes command of Heaven's secrets and turns the nation's fate around single-handedly, rebuilding a glorious age amid the tempests of the late Ming. This is the legendary tale of an imperial mentor who rose from a wandering fortune-teller to restore the realm!
This novel is different from other novels of the late Ming Dynasty that I have read. The author uses small characters to start the story, the story progresses layer by layer, and the language is humorous. It can be seen that the author has good writing skills. I hope to continue to work hard and work hard to write the following stories.
It's very refreshing to watch. Some things in the last years of the Ming Dynasty were really difficult to deal with. If you can really turn things around, you can only read this novel.
The plot is reasonable and yet humorous. It cuts into the dull late Ming Dynasty with a small entrance. The plot progresses layer by layer and is shocking step by step. It is very interesting and good-looking. Good luck to the author.
