The world had fallen long ago.
When “the uncanny” became an everyday sight in broad daylight and “fear” turned into a quantifiable source of energy, humanity could do nothing but huddle in layers of fortified “safe zones,” struggling to survive.
No one knew that deep in the most dangerous forbidden land stood a breeding farm shrouded in dense fog.
Lin Mo, the farm's sole owner, held a rusty iron shovel as he watched the “things” huddled inside the pen, his brow furrowed.
[Name: Weeping Bride]
[Status: Hungry (Insufficient fear-energy reserves)]
[Care Instructions: Feed it at least three living people consumed by obsessions every day, or it may break through the fence]
Lin Mo sighed and turned to another pen. Inside, a humanoid shape woven from countless strands of hair squirmed slowly.
[Name: Thousand-Thread Gu Mother]
[Abnormal Status: Agitated (Needs to devour biological tissue imbued with “despair”)]
[Threat Level: Calamity Class (Exceeds the defensive capacity of the safe zone)]
“Looks like I have to go restock again.”
Lin Mo slung a sack full of “feed” over his shoulder and headed toward the gate deep within the farm, its surface carved with blood-red runes. From beyond it came a teeth-grinding sound of chewing.
What he didn't know was that the “scraps” he casually tossed into the pens could cause a city-destroying disaster in the outside world; the tool he used to clean up the droppings was a “Holy Relic of Evil Suppression” venerated by a safe zone; and even the most inconspicuous mosquitoes and flies on the farm carried mental contamination powerful enough to drive high-ranking “Uncanny Exorcists” instantly insane.
It's very beautiful, highly recommended.
Very good, time well spent
It makes me feel so good! Very good
The biggest suspense in the book: How does the author manage to write 10,000 words a day without going bald?
Very nice, highly recommended.
The evaluation interface automatically pops up when I look at it. This book must be praised.
