One night, the lights suddenly go out in the ancient book restoration room. Lu Yao’s phone lights up:
Her wallpaper is a candid shot of Lin Nuan laughing beneath a ginkgo tree!
“So this is why you’ve been avoiding me, senior. You like me so much you’re trembling?”
Lin Nuan turns her own phone around: a quiet profile shot of Lu Yao in the library.
She dips her fingertip in cool gold powder and writes two words on the back of Lu Yao’s hand:
“Mine.”
“You restore the books. I’ll take care of you.”
