[One Piece + absurd comedy + money-loving protagonist] Lu Chen, a former Navy vice admiral, only wanted to lie low in Windmill Village: fish every day, bask in the sun, and use his pension to buy a little wine. His life was blander than the soup in the Navy mess hall.
But Luffy wouldn’t let him rest! The red-haired kid came charging over with a rubber arm raised. “You’re really strong! Be my crewmate!” Lu Chen tried to run, but the System grabbed him by the collar. “You haven’t saved up a billion in retirement funds yet. No lying flat!”
And so, the retired fisherman was forced aboard and became the Going Merry’s “unofficial quartermaster.” By day, he helped Nami keep the books and got called “cheap.” At night, Buggy’s clones chased him around to steal his booze. (“My clone says this tastes better than prison food!”) Even when Luffy got into a fight, he dragged Lu Chen along as a human shield. “Lu Chen’s like iron. Getting hit doesn’t hurt him!”
The most ridiculous part was the System’s rewards: saving a child earned him Observation Haki, getting his ship blown up by Buggy upgraded his Iron Body, and even being chased by the Navy counted as workers’ compensation. Lu Chen rubbed the metallic scales on his forearm and sighed. “How is this retirement? It’s just a different place to be a wage slave…”
But looking at his crewmates making a mess of the ship, he suddenly smiled. As long as his retirement fund could buy ten shiploads of barbecue, that was enough. If worst came to worst… he could lie low for another ten years?
The outline of this novel has been revised several times, but tens of thousands of words have been written, and the content cannot be revised. It is a bit confusing, so I simply changed it to a nonsensical type. Some details are difficult to perfect, and the interaction of the characters is still the main focus. Just watch what you want to see. If anyone sees it, I will continue to update. If no one sees it, I will finish it as soon as possible [Salute]
