In the Springtime of My Life, the Flowers Will Never Fade

Mysterious Lotus Casebook fanfiction, two male leads, brotherly affection.

I’m no good at writing introductions, so here’s a heads-up instead.

The main plot differs from both the TV series and the original novel, with major changes. There are basically no mystery-solving elements, since the author isn’t very good at logical reasoning. It’s mostly everyday life, with no CP and a happy ending (Xiangyi may have a male love interest).

When I started writing this, I thought: I want to write someone who loves Xiangyi unconditionally. And if I were to write such a person, the best choice would be Li Xiangyi’s older brother, Li Xiangxian. That’s how this story came to be.

The protagonist is an artificial intelligence robot whose sole purpose in transmigrating back is to protect Li Xiangyi. The story leaves quite a lot unsaid.

Li Xiangyi has three sides to him: the slightly tsundere little fish who acts cute and clingy around his family (Xiangyi Arc and its sequel); Xiangyi, who is indifferent to most things and rarely smiles, but acts obedient in front of his older brother (Tide Arcs); and Huahua, who is gentle yet aloof and distant (Lotus Arc).

Apologies for any OOC moments. This was written on a whim, the writing is average, and there are occasional bonus chapters.
