Debt Game: Neon Abyss

Debt Game: Neon Abyss follows Chen Mo, a former financial analyst buried in debt. To pay his mother's medical bills and recover the wages his company maliciously withheld, he is forced to enter a deadly competition called the Debt Game. In the sealed-off space of an abandoned department store, 456 people from the bottom rung of society fight to wipe out their debts and win a “health fund.” From competing for points in the “Honesty Test” to the team-up trap of the “Trust Game,” every round is full of hidden dangers, and the fate of those eliminated is far worse than simply “losing eligibility.”

In the game, Chen Mo meets Su Qing, a former nurse raising money for her younger sister's leukemia surgery, and Player 012, a mysterious, cold, and highly skilled competitor. From mutual suspicion to an alliance of necessity, the three must not only contend with the mysterious organizers behind the “circle around a triangle” symbol, but also face betrayal and attacks from other players. As the game progresses, Chen Mo gradually discovers that the Debt Game is no mere amusement for creditors. It is closely tied to the fraud case at Dingsheng Finance, where he once worked, and to his mother's “accidental” serious illness. It even leads to a vast, shadowy network that uses debt to control people at the bottom of society.

In the shadows of a city flickering with neon, survival and morality, trust and betrayal, truth and lies intertwine. Chen Mo, Su Qing, and Player 012 must struggle on the edge of life and death, uncover the conspiracy behind the game, and do more than win the competition: they must break free from the cage of fate controlled by capital and find a way into the light for themselves and everyone trapped there. This is not just about paying off debt, but a profound examination of human nature, social inequality, and the ruthlessness of capital.
