"Then let me promise you seventeen years, to start."

That vague promise made in a hospital years ago became Wen Siyi's only fixation for the rest of his life.

The Antarctic polar night buried too many secrets that could never see the light of day.

Nine years ago, an expedition team ventured deep into the frozen interior. Their drill was never aimed at a glacier.

Beneath the ice, a forbidden experiment capable of rewriting humanity's fate was growing wildly in the bitter cold.

The ordinary life Wen Siyi thought he had led was a game fate had laid out from the very beginning.

Were Lu Zeyan's layers of deception a poisoned blade, or protection at the cost of everything he had?

His dear friend Cheng Nanxiu offered all the help he could, while concealing a painful history of family ruin.

Pei Shuchen, the eldest son of the Lu family, was also trapped in the cold shackles of this business empire.

As the Lu family's harsh rules against homosexuality and the truth of two generations of crimes came to light,

lovers were torn apart, and death separated them. It was a fate they could not escape.

Some died with regrets. Others returned, clinging to their obsessions and seeking revenge in blood.

When this conflict spanning two generations finally came to an end,

all that remained was a yellowed diary and a sentence spoken half a lifetime too late:

"So it was you..."
