Transmigrate to Nanyi: A Turbulent Era Told Through Food

When he opens his eyes, top gourmet Lin Yuan has become Nan Yi, the tragic cook from Steel Is Made, Food Is Made of Iron! The year is 1962, the canteen is running out of food, his nemesis Cui Dake is watching him like a hawk, and all he has is half a sack of moldy, green, stinking rice! Thousands of workers are waiting for a meal. One accusation of “negligently damaging production” could ruin him!

At the brink of disaster, his modern memories and the “Food Is Heaven” System awaken at the same time!

Grind charcoal into powder? Chop up loofah sponges? Get the oil blazing hot!

To everyone’s astonishment, the moldy rice flies through the air and turns into a golden, irresistibly fragrant “Golden Lifesaving Fried Rice”! The whole factory erupts!

As the cool, reserved factory doctor Ding Qiunan takes his pulse, her fingertips tremble. “This pulse... it’s as if you’ve become someone else.”

The fiery widow Liang Ladi watches him at the stove. “This man’s like twice-cooked pork. The longer he simmers, the better he gets!”

Cui Dake’s sinister smile freezes on his face. “There’s something downright weird about this Nan Yi!”

From then on, the stove becomes a battlefield, and the spatula a weapon!
