My Best Friend’s Big Brother Spoiled Me Like a Princess!

Su Qingyuan never dreamed that covering for her best friend Lin Xi at a blind date would leave her “stuck” with Lin Xi’s older brother, Li Rui, who was rumored to be “as cold as an iceberg and so fierce he could eat people alive.”

To cover her mother’s surgery costs, and to help Li Rui fend off his family’s pressure to marry, they sign a contract promising not to interfere in each other’s lives after marriage.

On the first day of their marriage, Su Qingyuan grabs a pillow and tries to sleep in the guest room, but the man blocks the doorway, his dark eyes unreadable. “The contract says separate rooms come with a deposit deduction.”

She has no choice but to curl up in the corner of the master bedroom. When she wakes in the night, chilled to the bone, she finds herself wrapped in his arms, his chin resting on her head. His voice is hoarse. “Don’t move. You’re warming my hands.”

Her best friend Lin Xi complains every day, “My brother hates clingy people. Stay away from him!”

Then she turns around and finds Li Rui crouched down, tying Su Qingyuan’s shoelaces. His tone is exasperated but indulgent. “Trip over your laces again and I’ll cut them all off.”

Little by little, Su Qingyuan discovers that this fierce older brother remembers she doesn’t eat cilantro, stands up for her when people give her a hard time, and quietly brings her hot milk when she stays up late drawing.

Li Rui never expected that this soft-looking young woman would clumsily make him porridge when his stomach hurt, or analyze the pros and cons at length when his rivals tried to set him up, her eyes shining like stars.

As their contract nears its end, Li Rui slaps a new one in front of her, his eyes red. “Renew it. For life.”

Su Qingyuan blinks in confusion. “B-but the contract says we can’t fall for each other.”

The man chuckles softly and pinches her cheek. “I made the rules. I’m changing them now.”
