Apocalypse: My Zombie Infection Is a Little Different

The day Lin Feng was bitten by a zombie, he thought he was done for.

But when he woke up, pale purple veins covered the wound, and the zombies’ snarls had become “commands” he could understand. Everyone else turned into walking corpses after infection, but he could control the infected and unlock symbiote abilities by devouring their cores.

In the library, the zombie Zhao Kai who bit him obediently knelt at his command. On the run, a fire-axe-wielding zombie called A-Dai became his most reliable shield. On the bloodstained sports field, despite the crisis of trust, he managed to rescue Lei Zhan’s sister from the horde, but in the end, he still couldn’t stop a traitor’s attack.

When he leads his team to build a “New Dawn Haven,” he discovers the trouble is only beginning: a Corpse King who can control showers of bone, a “Flame of Purification” that uses living people as sacrifices, and Furnace City, where a conspiracy involving suppressants is hidden. Every step is a walk along the edge of a blade.

“You’re no different from them!” a survivor shouts, aiming a gun at him.

Lin Feng snaps his restraints. Symbiote vines surge from his back, crushing the horde charging toward him. “The difference? I protect the living.”

The core in his palm glows faintly. He knows this game of coexisting with the virus has only just begun.
