Eighty-One Trials on the Journey to the West? More Like Eight Thousand One Hundred

Ye Changfeng transmigrates into the world of Journey to the West and unlocks an apprentice-taking System.

But with poor eyesight, he can only teach a few little mountain demons at a secluded mountain villa.

“I'm telling you, there's not a single decent person in the Buddhist sect. Those abbots look like fine upstanding men, but they're all one hand on a young woman and the other on the scriptures, trying to honor both the Buddha and their sweetheart.”

“The spiritual energy of heaven and earth has dwindled so much since the dawn of chaos. Master will teach you something else.”

“His Freedom Technique, Burning Art, Divine Elephant Suppressing Prison Force.”

“Take a look at these.”

Ye Changfeng was only shooting the breeze with the little demons. How could techniques from novels possibly be cultivated in real life?

But he never expected that his disciples would have such extraordinary identities.

Xiao Yu was actually the Jade Rabbit of Guanghan Palace, and Xiao Liu was the Six-Eared Macaque.

After hearing how corrupt the Western Buddhists were, the disciples resolved to join the great calamity!

Claim the merits of Journey to the West! Give the journey a real challenge!

At the first trial, Tang Sanzang spent fifteen days walking without managing to leave the borders of the Tang Empire.

At Guanyin Monastery, Tang Sanzang lost his brocade kasaya, and Ye Changfeng gained a summer quilt.

Sun Wukong joined the Freedom Sect and learned the Heaven-Swallowing Demonic Art from reading Shrouding the Heavens with a Snap of the Fingers.

The little white dragon Ao Lie read The Dragon Clan, saw the words “To All the Unlucky Kids,” and burst into tears. “That's me!”

The Buddha was utterly baffled. “Why are the eighty-one trials so difficult?”

“This is more like eight hundred and ten trials!”

At last, the group traveling west finally arrived in the West.

Where were the merits?

What happened to the promised prosperity of the Buddhist sect, ordained by heaven?

Ye Changfeng: “I was just lying around, and somehow I suddenly became a sage through merit. What gives?”
