Swallowing Against the Grain

The sky of Tianwen City was once shrouded by the Zhao family's "Spirit Locking Pattern". There, the source pattern is a weapon for the privileged, and ordinary people are treated as "pattern slaves", their spiritual power is drained, and their freedom is imprisoned. Until Lin Ye, a refugee who climbed out of Gear Alley, awakened to the taboo "wild path pattern". His patterns do not grow in the bones and blood, but grow among the vegetation. They can revive dead trees, make moss grow on stubborn rocks, and tear apart the iron mesh of the spirit-locking patterns. He was not a natural leader, but he pulled up a team during his escape: - Iron Hand, a geek with "mechanical patterns" engraved on his mechanical arm, can use scrap metal to make more sophisticated weapons than the Zhao family; - One-Eyed Dragon, the rebel of the Forbidden Valley, the corrosion marks are burning on his bone knife, but he hides an unknown tenderness; - Ah He and Xiao Lian, children left behind by the war, one can control the wind, the other is good at carving patterns. Their innocence hides the future of Sky Pattern City. When the Soul Locking Pillar collapsed and the Zhao family's rule collapsed, Tianwen City thought it had ushered in the dawn, but it didn't know that the shadow had never dissipated: - Zhao Lian, a remnant of the Zhao family, a master of poison patterns and disguises. Under her lotus embroidery needles, there is a redemption that is more complicated than hatred; - The caravan from Cloud Pattern City arrived with the "Heart Pattern", which can see into people's hearts and detect spiritual veins. Their compasses point to the secrets buried deep underground in Heaven Pattern City; - Lin Ye himself is also struggling with the power of the wild Dao pattern - will he become the next "Spirit Locker"?
