Focusing on the polar tundra and snow-capped mountains at 68° north latitude (the fictional area "White Bear Mountains"), this place is covered with ice and snow all year round, with an average temperature of -30°C. Snowstorms occur frequently, glacier crevices hide murder, and only a few cold-resistant creatures (Arctic fox, snowy owl, musk ox) remain. Deep in the mountains lies the legend of the "ice field ruins guarded by the aurora", which is said to be the camp left by a missing Arctic scientific expedition team in the early 20th century, attracting a small number of extreme explorers.
