After Six Months Away on Business, My Fiancé Rented Our New Home to an Intern for Fifty Yuan

I was away on a business trip for six months, and my fiancé moved into our new home by himself ahead of schedule.

Every month, he even sent me a token 50 yuan, calling it rent for his wife.

Then he posted a fancy dinner on his Moments, and his solo meals turned into dinners for two.

A friend joked that he was ready to start playing house, and if I didn't get back soon, someone else would steal him away.

I just smiled and rushed back overnight to surprise him for his birthday.

No matter what I tried, the new home's door code wouldn't work. I was about to call my fiancé when a young woman in an apron opened the door, holding a spatula. She frowned as she looked me over, then said with a grin, "You must have the wrong place, sis. This is my home."
