Chen Mo, an ordinary modern man, accidentally transmigrates into a pixel-art otherworld, a cruel version of Soul Knight that is little more than a prison. There is no restart button here, only one cold, ironclad rule: every week, he must venture deep into the dungeon and bring back a Magic Stone to place on the wall. Failure means death. In the strange safehouse known as “Knight's House,” Chen Mo meets companions who are trapped there too: Ed, an engineer obsessed with machinery; Melin, a priestess who offers comfort; Barton, a skilled craftsman; and Wolf, a merchant of mysterious origins. They help Chen Mo fight monsters in randomly generated dungeons, exchanging Magic Stones for another week's respite. Yet strange details in their “home” keep tormenting Chen Mo's nerves: the food in the kitchen seems to be “growing,” while the meat stored in the refrigerator slowly turns into some sticky, unknown substance...
To escape this eternal fate, Chen Mo and his companions embark on a thorny quest to find the legendary “Seven-Colored Stones.” After countless brushes with death and seven years of struggle, they finally gather six Magic Stones, red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, and blue, each shining with a different power and a different wail of anguish. When the final black Magic Stone, the one symbolizing the end, is embedded in the wall, the towering structure that has devoured countless life-giving stones finally becomes a dark doorway leading to the truth of the world.
