Death Fear Observation Notes

As a hospice physician, I have seen all kinds of fear of death. There is a mother who crazily hoards cheap frozen meat and feeds it to her daughter, because of her anxiety about feeding that will not stop even after she dies; There is a tough guy who tears up his will and insults the caregiver. Under his angry armor is an abyss of helplessness; Some scholars discussed philosophy endlessly, and only on their deathbed did they admit that they were afraid of nothingness. Until the shadow of a brain tumor appeared on my CT report. It turns out that the "Typology of Death Fear" that I calmly recorded was quietly compensating for my own trembling on every page. When the ribs were broken during the rescue, I finally heard the scream in my chest that had been silenced by professionalism for many years.
