The Nine Provinces cultivation world is divided into nine regions, each with its own distinct features. Some regions have beautiful mountains and rivers and abundant spiritual energy; others are barren and desolate, overrun by demon beasts. Cultivators draw most of their power from the spiritual energy of Heaven and Earth. Their cultivation stages, from lowest to highest, are: Qi Refining, Foundation Establishment, Golden Core, Nascent Soul, Deity Transformation, Body Integration, Mahayana, and Tribulation Transcendence. Each stage is further divided into early, middle, and late phases.
