Fu Yanxiu personally turned his cousin’s girlfriend, Su Ruotang, into his contract wife.
He claimed it was to help her out of a difficult situation, but tore up their agreement on the very night they registered their marriage:
“Marrying me means you can sleep in my bed without anyone questioning it.”
The whole city praises Mr. Fu for his loyalty and generosity, giving money and resources to support his cousin, who had been left to fend for himself.
But no one knows that every night, he bites her earlobe and demands:
“Who’s better, him or Shen Shiyan?”
He stood by coldly as his cousin betrayed her, then took advantage of her when she was at her most desperate.
Until she discovered that
he had arranged for her first love to cheat,
he had engineered her family’s debts,
and even that contract had been part of his carefully laid trap.
On a stormy night, she drags her suitcase out of her prison.
Fu Yanxiu smashes the surveillance footage and calls her.
“Madam, once you’re done playing, come home like a good girl.”
“If you so much as hurt a hair on your head, ”
“I’ll make Shen Shiyan join you in the grave.”
