World view: In a modern parallel world, there is a secret Cthulhu-based cult organization "The Embrace of the Deep Ones". The organization believes in the old ruler "Graun Zoth" (original setting, symbolizing the "Whisperer of the Abyss") who sleeps deep in the Mariana Trench of the Pacific Ocean. His power can distort space, erode the mind, and induce distortion in deep-sea creatures. The core stronghold of the organization is located in the "R'lyeh Observatory" disguised as an abandoned marine research institute (a tribute to the location), which is actually the subspace node leading to the resting place of Graun Zoth. The surface society of the world knows nothing about this.
Core conflict: The protagonist's revenge target is not the old god himself (out of reach of mortals), but the high-level cult leader who used the power of the evil god to lead the sacrificial ceremony and killed the protagonist's loved ones. Revenge must be completed within the countdown as the power of the evil god becomes increasingly active and the observatory is about to become a permanent portal, while at the same time fighting against the environment, monsters and one's own spiritual pollution.
Fusion of core elements:
Cthulhu horror: indescribable deep-sea aberrations, space distortion, forbidden knowledge (scrolls, rituals), mental pollution (auditory hallucinations, visual hallucinations, cognitive impairment), and an atmosphere of depression and despair.
Survival challenges: The abandoned research institute (Raleye Observatory) has extremely harsh environment (high pressure, low temperature, hypoxia, radiation leakage, deep-sea biological invasion), extremely scarce resources (food, water, oxygen, medicine, weapons, energy), and deadly traps.
Revenge and Counterattack: The protagonist is a passive survivor and carefully plans and executes revenge by learning and exploiting the "loopholes" of the environment, knowledge, and even the evil god's power.
