After Prison, I Rule Across China

[Underworld + business warfare + no System + no brainless decisions + realism + rise to the top]

Eight years in prison have led a former gang enforcer, once the bearer of two red batons, to rediscover the world through books. When he gets out, his old boss fails to keep the promise he made. Instead, he ships him off to a branch of the gang that has already fallen into decline. Choosing to move through the gray zone between the lawful and criminal worlds, he faces betrayal by those closest to him, foils a coordinated assault by rival underworld figures, breaks through the money-powered suppression of business tycoons, and evades the police as they spare no effort to gather evidence against him. In the end, he becomes a hidden power player who holds sway across all of China.
