The Corpse Retriever: Hearing Tales of the Supernatural on the Yangtze River

On the Yangtze, a river that has swallowed countless secrets, Chen Sanshui makes his living retrieving corpses, earning just enough to keep himself alive. One stormy night, he pulls up a strange female corpse dressed in a blood-red wedding gown. Her face looks lifelike, and her hands clutch a battered radio. From that moment on, he is dragged into the deadly maelstrom of Strange Tales.

At midnight, the radio turns on by itself despite having no power. A cold AI voice issues its first death-defying task: [Take “her” to the top floor by elevator.] Refuse, and be erased! And the only “reward” is three more days of life for the ventilator keeping his paralyzed sister, Chen Xiaoyu, breathing!

To protect the only family he has left, Chen Sanshui is forced to become a player in this horror game. He must draw on seven years of corpse-retrieving experience, knowledge of the underworld’s taboos, and a keen instinct for survival to complete one bizarre mission after another, all beneath the shadow of a curse that promises death within three days.
