Naruto: A Hokage’s Life Under Sakura’s Choice

(Parallel worlds + contrasting marriage choices + sky screen livestream + out-of-character behavior)

A massive sky screen suddenly split open above Konoha, beginning to show two worlds side by side.

On the left, Boruto, a blond, spiky-haired boy, was pounding on the Hokage Rock of the Seventh Hokage and complaining, “Dad is never home.”

On the right, I was practicing the Strength of a Hundred Technique with my little sister, Hanami, while Mom Sakura’s fist came down on Dad’s grinning head.

The entire shinobi world watched Naruto eating instant noodles alone on the left with Himawari in his arms, and on the right watched Sakura grab him by the ear and scold, “Stop teaching the kids Sexy Jutsu!”

Young Naruto suddenly tugged at my sleeve. “So in the future... will someone really be willing to be my family?”

The sky screen abruptly changed. Amid an apocalyptic scene of the Otsutsuki’s arrival, the two sons of Naruto stood back to back.

A blue contract mark spun in Boruto’s palm, while golden light from the Sage of Six Paths blazed around me.
