Our Story is a book based on my life with my family, written above all to honor my beloved grandmother. At its heart are the deep bond between my grandmother and me, and the hardships my parents endured. From the boundless love my grandmother showered on me as a child, to the care she never stopped giving me as I grew up, got married, and had a child, and finally to the little moments before she passed away, the book tenderly records an affection that endured through the years. It also recounts the things I remember my grandmother quietly doing to keep our extended family going, and the hardships and toil she endured for us, preserving the warmth and strength she left behind in the passage of time.
