From the Start, I Was a Corporate Drone Forced to Livestream Ghost Hunting

Lu Renjia, an overworked office drone, only wanted to coast through life. Instead, he gets bound to a Horror System and forced to start livestreaming ghost hunts on campus. Through a series of mishaps, he transfers to No. 7 Middle School.

On his first day, he stumbles into the case of the missing students from Dormitory 403. A leaky “top student's pen” turns out to be the key to driving out evil and solving the mystery. Its dark red ink can draw out resentment and point to the culprit. He even drives off a spirit medium with an off-key song and the pen, earning himself the title “Slipper God of War.”

But he never expected the disappearances from Dormitory 403 to be just the tip of the iceberg. The abandoned old school hospital at the edge of the sports field is where the real nightmare begins.

Rusty chains can't contain the chill below ground. A blood bank beneath the ventilation shaft hides a deadly secret. Resentment stirs behind a cold-storage metal door, while an anonymous tip-off letter bears a “rhinoceros horn mark” and an unfinished plea for help...

“Where's the key? What's hidden in the sublevel three freezer?”

Clutching his leaky pen, Lu Renjia charges into the haunted school in his slippers. Through the livestream camera, the taboos surrounding the old school hospital are peeled back one by one. The bloody truths buried by time are slowly coming to light in the pen's shimmering glow.
