Summer Winds Across the Wilds

Mutual devotion / sprawling ensemble cast / both leads are each other’s first and only / happy ending

Lin Ningxia, a goofy little ball of sunshine who’s always getting tricked, and Yuanye, a cold-faced, sharp-tongued iceberg who’s always tricking her

(A story with a truly, truly huge ensemble cast)

At seventeen, Lin Ningxia transferred to Yulin No. 1 High School with her parents.

That summer, she met Yuanye, whose words were sharp but heart kind, and who was always pulling one over on her.

She also met Song Qingyao, who understood her, and the easygoing Lu Chuanfeng.

Cicadas sang through the summer, day after day and year after year. From school uniforms to wedding clothes, we were still us.

The bonds of youth are precious, and they all treasured one another.

Lin Ningxia was like a beam of brilliant sunshine, shining into Yuanye’s heart. From then on, flowers bloomed across his barren wilderness.

“Xiao Ning, I planted a lemon tree.”

“What’s that supposed to mean?”

“I miss you.”

Song Qingyao commented, “An isolated iceberg can say sweet things too? Incredible!”

A lighthearted, somewhat offbeat sweet romance. I hope you enjoy it!

Ensemble casts are the best!
