The National Teacher Goes Live: Is the Metaphysics Top-Tier Star About to Set the Stage Ablaze?

Shen Xingci, the Grand National Teacher of the Great Jing, accidentally transmigrates to the modern world. From telling fortunes at a pedestrian overpass to explaining metaphysics on livestreams, he uses a thousand years of wisdom to solve modern mysteries. He takes down a fraud ring, protects the Guiyuan Ancient Temple, exposes property developers’ plot to damage the land’s dragon veins, and uses a Big Dipper formation to modify buildings and avert a sinkhole disaster.

Before the livestream camera, he combines ancient texts with modern science, turning feng shui into a discipline about living in harmony with nature. Away from the camera, he and his assistant Lin Xiaoxiao go from misunderstanding one another to working in perfect sync, and their feelings grow as they protect tradition while embracing the present.

When the alignment of the nine stars offers him a chance to return to imperial power, he tears up the astrological chart. The warmth of everyday life has long since surpassed the comforts and hardships of the palace. In the end, he opens a research institute, helping old traditions take root in modern life and proving that tradition is no antique, but wisdom for everyday living.
