Although Su Li is frail and sickly, she acts cute and clingy around Huo Nanchuan, calling him “big brother” at every turn. In secret, however, she is the master of the Splendid Tower, an intelligence network with information spanning all of Great Xia and its neighboring nations.
Huo Nanchuan is the Su family’s adopted son. He spends much of his time traveling in search of a way to cure Su Li, and has also built an immeasurably vast business empire.
But even the most formidable people have a weakness, and Huo Nanchuan’s is Su Li. He would willingly let others control him for her sake. He thought he was simply repaying a debt of gratitude, but when Su Li vanished without a trace one day, he realized he had already fallen for her the moment he first picked her up as a baby in her swaddling clothes.
