Dream of the End, Ten-Day Reincarnation

Memory Maze: Qi Xia, a former memory erasure specialist, wakes in an unfamiliar hotel and discovers he is trapped in a ten-day death-loop game. To return to the real world, he must break through layer after layer of dreams. Rules of Death: On every “Final Day,” participants face different deaths. They retain their memories when the loop resets, but can only reach the next layer by solving the heart of the current dream. Scattered Clues: In the hotel, Qi Xia finds mysterious symbols, torn photographs, and a warning from an unknown woman. They have an uncanny resonance with fragments of memories from reality. A Team Takes Shape: Qi Xia meets Chen Ling, a professor of psychology; Tang Mu, a teenage hacker; and Qin Ge, a mysterious woman. The four discover that each of them is missing a crucial piece of their memory. A Trick of Time: The team encounters a “time fold” and realizes that time flows differently in the dream and the real world. Ten days may amount to only a few minutes in reality. Portents of Death: During his third loop, Qi Xia discovers that each death mirrors a traumatic memory from the real world, suggesting that the game’s designer knows each of their pasts. The Deeper Truth: Qin Ge reveals that she was once one of the game’s designers. The system known as “Dream of the End” was originally created to treat post-traumatic stress, but has been tampered with by an unknown force.
