[Proud yet gentle Mu He × timid yet decisive Feng Runshi]
When Jiang Wan took her younger brother, Feng Runshi, out to play, human traffickers mistook him for a girl and abducted him. They sold him to a remote village to be someone’s child bride. When the buyers realized he was a boy, they couldn’t find the sellers to return him, and so Feng Runshi became their “slave.” He had to look after his younger brother. His adoptive father was a drunk who bullied his own family, while his adoptive mother was intensely controlling. She kept telling him how terrible his adoptive father was and that only she cared about him, making him grow up with a warped personality.
His adoptive father killed his adoptive mother. After Feng Runshi killed his adoptive father, he fled.
Once free, Feng Runshi followed Teacher Song to Nancheng, where he met Mu He and found himself drawn to him.
During winter break in his first year of college, Teacher Song unexpectedly confessed to Feng Runshi. Only then did Feng Runshi learn that boys could date boys. So Mu He wasn’t just a sunflower, but a rose, too!
In his second year, Feng Runshi was found by his older sister. When he returned home, he saw Mu He there as well. He wasn’t just my neighbor, he was also my sister’s lover.
“So you’re Wan’s little brother! Let’s introduce ourselves properly. Hi, I’m Mu He.”
“Hi, I’m Feng Runshi.” That was their first conversation.
Jiang Wan asked Mu He to take good care of her younger brother. Perhaps Feng Runshi was too shy, so Mu He took him out to eat, watch movies, play games…
Gradually, Mu He began to realize he had developed feelings for Feng Runshi, and started to distance himself from him.
At a banquet, someone drugged Mu He with an aphrodisiac. Feng Runshi helped him, but when Mu He woke up, Jiang Wan was lying beside him.
Later, Feng Runshi died.
Mu He was no longer a coward…
