The protagonist, a modern senior historian (specializing in the history of the Qin, Han and Three Kingdoms), has transformed into Sun Qian (also known as Gongyou). In 194 AD, after Tao Qian surrendered to Xuzhou, Liu Bei first took charge of Xuzhou's pastoral affairs. Sun Qian followed him as an early core staff member. He used "prophet" and modern wisdom to assist Liu Bei in avoiding historical mistakes and seizing opportunities, and finally realized the "support of the Han Dynasty" and created a stronger and more lasting "strong Han Dynasty", while avoiding the tragedy of the withering of talents and militarism in the late Shu Han Dynasty. What the protagonist pursues is to leave a deep imprint on the torrent of history and realize the ultimate dream of a historian.
