When Bian Ji opened his eyes, he found himself in the deadly lands of the Investiture of the Gods War: Lintong Pass!

As the son of a deputy general, powerless to even truss a chicken, he could only despair at the Chan Sect army besieging the city and the devastation left behind by the Jie Sect's Ten Thousand Immortals Formation collapsing.

But just then!

Fortunately, the Treasure Chest System activated. From the world of Investiture of the Gods to the world of Journey to the West, the weak, unorthodox master he had thought he knew turned out to be one of the Three Corpses of the Sect Master Tongtian still remaining in the mortal world!

His half-brother, who shared the same father, was actually the future Second Senior Brother, Marshal Tianpeng, known in the mortal world as Bian Zhuang!

His maternal grandfather was the kindly old man of the Heavenly Court, Venus Tai Bai, who was actually Li Chang Geng, the slayer of the Western Ox Continent and a sword saint of Geng Metal!

Inherit the leadership of the Jie Sect through his master, use his connections in the Heavenly Court to scheme for the position of Emperor Zhenwu ahead of time, then watch as I, the Nine Heavens Demon-Subduing Patriarch, seize the throne of Emperor Gouchen with my White Bone Legion!

How will Bian Ji gradually upgrade his life-bound treasure, the White Bone Banner, into a calamity-spawning army of billions of skeletons? Watch as it sweeps across the worlds of Investiture of the Gods and Journey to the West!
