You All Think I'm a Mad Monk? Behold, I Am Buddha!

I was once the teacher of all Buddhas, Dipamkara, the Ancient Buddha.

Now, I have been reincarnated.

I’ve become a mad monk who didn’t speak for nine years and shaves his head but keeps his beard.

To avert the Buddhist faith’s impending doom fifty years from now, I manifested a golden body and entered the cycle of rebirth. I became the Ming Dynasty’s Imperial Preceptor and traveled ten thousand miles west with the Three Treasures fleet.

But no one knows who I really am. They all think I’m just a mad monk.

The Daoist Celestial Master challenges me to a battle of magic, hoping to humiliate Buddhism;

Western demons see me as food and try to devour my treasure ship;

The gods and Buddhas in heaven laugh at me for losing my cultivation, waiting to watch me suffer through calamity after calamity.

But they don’t know that my Buddha name is Dipamkara. At a single thought, flowers bloom; at another, gods and demons alike scatter!

With my nine-ringed monk’s staff in hand, I’ll sweep away this sea of a hundred thousand demons!

With a flip of my purple-gold alms bowl, I’ll remake heaven and earth!

They all laugh at me for being mad. Then I’ll use that madness to reshape the world!

The day I reveal my true form will be the day all the gods and Buddhas bow and come to pay homage!
