Blind Flame

Seven years ago, Lin Wan traded her eyesight for Jiang Chi's life in a fire. During the three years of their marriage that followed, she groped her way through the darkness, trying to be his wife and their daughter's mother, believing this was the perfect conclusion to her sacrifice. It wasn't until her sight returned that she saw the unfamiliar perfume on Jiang Chi's suit, the taunting red lips of his mistress, Meng Yao, and the truth: all she had gained for her sacrifice was a carefully dressed-up lie. Her daughter's accidental death became the final straw. As depression dragged her into the abyss, Lu Ze appeared like a glimmer of light. Jiang Chi's belated love and remorse ultimately earned him nothing but a lonely death from terminal cancer. Love and betrayal, redemption and destruction: this story, which began with a sacrifice, eventually saw new flowers bloom amid the ruins.
