Criminal Investigation: Two Souls

Yi Chenxing was a star at the police academy, with a bright future ahead of him. But because he had a knack for dropping the ball at crucial moments, he was relegated to a local station to deal with petty squabbles. His passion for justice had nowhere to go, leaving him lost and conflicted. Yet he was not alone. Since childhood, a cool, intelligent voice had always kept him company: his “older brother,” Yi Chenguang. Though he had no physical form, Yi Chenguang was Yi Chenxing’s most powerful cheat: a living memory palace, a super strategist capable of seeing through everything and calculating what would happen next. When a black Mercedes-Benz S-Class with a sagging trunk and strangely worn tires caught Yi Chenxing’s eye, Yi Chenguang’s precise analysis pierced his mind like an electric current, exposing a shocking kidnapping hidden beneath the ordinary. Faced with Mamba, a desperate criminal who charged at them recklessly and laid vicious traps, Yi Chenxing followed his brother’s instructions, relying on extraordinary willpower and instinct to pull off an impossible reversal in the face of certain defeat. A police car on the verge of being scrapped, a faulty engine: every obstacle was overcome under his brother’s near-oracular, real-time guidance. They pursued the suspects all the way to an abandoned factory, only to witness the horrifying sight of hostages being burned alive. When Mamba seized a gun and fought back, leaving a veteran detective on the brink of death, Yi Chenxing pushed himself to the limit at his brother’s desperate urging and fought with his bare hands to snatch victory from the jaws of death. Can he overcome his psychological weakness, fully absorb his brother’s wisdom, and become a true force in criminal investigation? And what unknown threats will their extraordinary power, born of two souls sharing one life, attract? This battle between good and evil will be a rebirth for the brothers alike!
