Also known as: I’m Too Tired to Keep Grinding, I Just Want to Retire
A self-media blogger who can be sweet or spicy VS a domineering CEO who fights to win her over and won’t let go
(The leads were high school classmates, but they never dated in high school.)
Wu Shuang has returned after six years at work, still in her prime and with savings in the bank. She’s done with the rat race.
When her contract expired, she decided to go home and slow down. But she found that family wasn’t a perfect safe haven either. There were little storms now and then, and big ones every so often. She decided to let it go and not force anything.
She hadn’t even figured out who in her family had money or power. In that case, she’d buy her own house! She’d treat the home she paid to improve as a comfortable place for her parents to grow old. They had raised her, after all, and that counted for something! But the rest had nothing to do with her.
But could someone tell her whether constantly running into the same person meant they were destined to be together?
They ran into each other on a plane, while she was moving, when she bought a car, and even while she was ordering bubble tea.
Wu Shuang: “Um, old classmate, why don’t you confess your feelings to me?”
Old classmate Chen Ye: “I like you. Will you go out with me?”
Wu Shuang: “No!”
Chen Ye slapped himself...
