The Sun Wukong in this book has both the rebellious streak of a modern person and the Monkey King's lecherous nature... All right, I got that backward. The other way around.
This is a Monkey King with real flesh and blood, and there are a few romantic storylines. If that's not your thing, don't read!
Sun Wukong, a modern man with the same name as the Monkey King, opened his eyes and found himself as the Handsome Monkey King, who had just been roused by three strikes from Patriarch Bodhi's ruler.
While he was still utterly bewildered, a little bell began ringing in his mind. Was this the golden finger the old master had given him?
This bell was absurdly powerful! When he listened to the Dao, the Longevity Scripture automatically evolved into the Primordial Chaos Dao Body Scripture, drawing in and refining spiritual energy into primal energy.
When he studied magic, the Seventy-Two Earthly Fiend Transformations evolved into the Myriad Forms Return to Truth Transformation, and the Somersault Cloud advanced into a Single Thought Across the Cosmos. His comprehension was maxed out!
The original Sun Wukong's fate, being crushed under a mountain for five hundred years and made to wear a tightening headband as a lackey? Not happening!
In this life, I, Sun Wukong, will develop Flower-Fruit Mountain, build wineries and food factories, find myself a few wives (human-shaped ones, of course!), and live carefree as the Monkey King!
He immobilized the Seven Fairies in the Peach Garden and picked a huge pile of peaches, yet Heaven kept the matter under wraps and didn't pursue it at all, letting Wukong throw his own Peach Banquet!
At the foot of Five Finger Mountain, I escaped by shedding my shell! The tightening spell? My Dao Bell makes me immune to it. It's like listening to a little tune!
The journey to fetch the scriptures? That's just my carefree, freewheeling adventure!
I have a cudgel! Let it steel my heroic heart, so the heavens can no longer blind me. I will make all the gods and Buddhas in the sky vanish without a trace!

Although this Journey to the West is also about time travel, the main plot is similar to the original work, and some parts are quite interesting.
The plot is compact, the setting is novel, and there is no cliche system. I feel that it would be better to polish the transition between conflicts. I really hope the author can continue writing it.
