The Sweet Rose Wants a Divorce, and President He Comes Home to Coax Her

A powerful, doting businessman + long-laid plans + marriage before love + devoted, faithful couple + sweet, satisfying romance + possessive hero + husband’s road to winning back his wife

A conspiracy unfolds. She is He Qingcang’s cherished little rose, raised by him. Because he doesn’t love her, he marries her to silence the rumors that he brings bad luck to his wives, then leaves her at the hospital, where she nearly dies.

Their marriage is in name only, and Mi Yao feels suffocated. She comes to her senses and decides to divorce him, but her husband, who had vanished, comes home in the middle of the night to soothe her.

When a scheming woman comes to provoke Mi Yao, He Qingcang teaches her how to crush her. When Mi Yao’s true background comes to light, her biological family’s daughters bully and oppress her, then throw her out. He Qingcang teaches her to use the law and hire an international legal team to divide up the inheritance.

Her in-laws look down on Mi Yao for being an orphan with no one to support her, and make life difficult for her at every turn. He Qingcang teaches her to put family ties aside and protect herself.

She discovers He Qingcang’s secret: he treats her well to atone to his parents.

Mi Yao is no longer a docile little rose. She’s become a bold little firecracker.

She steals confidential business information from He Qingcang’s company and blackmails him, hacks the company’s system and destroys important files, gets into fights, kidnaps He Qingcang, goes drinking at bars and orders male escorts, then, when drunk, announces to everyone: “He Qingcang is no good in bed. I’m divorcing him.”

She causes a huge scandal, and everyone in town learns that He Qingcang is supposedly impotent.

What no one knows is that He Qingcang fell in love with Mi Yao at first sight when he was twenty-five, and has stayed celibate for years, waiting for her.

“Mrs. He, people outside are saying I’m no good. I’ll have to prove them wrong!” He Qingcang smirked.
