Lin Xiaobei is an ordinary-looking museum temp and intern, even a bit of a good-for-nothing. Optimistic and somewhat clever, he gets nervous easily, but at critical moments he always has a stubborn streak that refuses to give in. He has no idea he possesses a special ability called “Cultural Relic Resonance.” When he gets close to Chinese artifacts that have been looted or ended up overseas, he can sense the emotions and fragments of memory they retain. He can even briefly “borrow” a little of the “spirituality” or special abilities contained within them, such as the “durability” of a bronze vessel, the “sense of formation” of a terracotta warrior, or the “nimbleness” of a jade object. These effects are exaggerated, but brief and limited. The ability is unstable and can only be triggered under specific conditions. At first, Lin Xiaobei does not fully understand how it works or how powerful it is.
