The Divine-Burying Blade: Heaven's Punishment

Lin Yuan is framed for secretly keeping a demon core. His dantian is crippled, and he is expelled from the Demon-Slaying Bureau. A mysterious old drunkard appears, teaches him the Immortal Star Body, gives him a rust-covered God-Burying Saber, and guides him onto the path of cultivation. Lin Yuan starts with a “wood-chopping” style of saberplay, gradually coming to understand its true essence.

Along the way, Lin Yuan meets Shen Yao, whose alchemy explosion brings them together. The two constantly trade barbs, yet stand by each other through life and death. As their feelings grow, they join forces to thwart the demon clan's scheme, venture deep into demon territory, and defeat the Demon Emperor. Lin Yuan's Star Saber technique brings down heavenly punishment, but he sets out on the path to the source of the stars and breaks through the Heavenly Dao. In the final battle, he faces the embodiment of the Heavenly Dao and shatters the old order. In the end, he retires to the mountains, while the God-Burying Saber guards the world and its roar resounds across the sky. The old drunkard helps him time and again. His identity remains a mystery, but he drives key events and shares a deep connection with the God-Burying Saber, a mysterious presence in this legend.
