[Erha] Fanfiction: A Letter to Longcheng Beneath the Snow

The author's writing isn't very good, so please don't flame me if you don't like it. I have a few original ideas of my own, but for the most part, this follows the original story, with some changes.

The story takes place three years after the great battle:

Xue Meng spent three years guarding Sisheng Peak, and three years plagued by nightmares.

Then Mei Hanxue came through the snow beneath a red umbrella and said to him, “Xue Ziming, I've come to collect a debt: the plum blossom you owe me.”

The seal in the northern frontier shattered, an old case was reopened, and the rift in time and space opened once more. The weathered young sect leader broke the spirited “Longcheng,” while the young master of Treading Snow Palace paid with half his spiritual core.

They had once seen each other's most shameful pasts in the illusion of the Snow Lantern, and beneath the red plum tree they pledged the rest of their lives: one would rebuild the mortal world with a broken sword, the other would watch over the long night with a broken body.

After peace returned to the realm, there was still a “Plumfold Manor” in the mortal world. Two masters lived there: one wielded a sword, the other played a flute. The sword was named “Snowbound,” and the flute's melody was “Plumfold.”

You guard the mortal world, and I'll guard you.
