The System's voice carried a hint of schadenfreude: "This is an office-worker zombie. They were probably a victim of the 996 work schedule before they died, and kept their work habits after mutating. Traits: obsessed with electronic devices, aggression fluctuates according to KPI completion."
"There's a KPI too?" Cheng Xiaoye's mouth twitched. "This apocalypse is way too competitive."
"Crap, we've stirred up a hornet's nest." Cheng Xiaoye quickly reversed the RV. "Why are these guys acting like someone stole their overtime pay?"
He took a deep breath, held up a fake laptop, and walked around the back of the RV. Calling out to the office-worker zombies, he said, "Hey! Over here! The latest laptop model, top specs, and you can hit your KPIs without working overtime!"
Sure enough, most of the zombies were drawn in. They turned around and stared fixedly at the fake laptop in Cheng Xiaoye's hands, making gurgling sounds as if they were drooling.
[You wouldn't understand an office worker's obsession.] The System sighed. [They were tormented by computers when they were alive, and are still controlled by computers after death. It's pretty tragic.]
The two systems are basically quarreling. The protagonist has no opinion. Every time there is danger, he has to go there, but he can't defeat it. When the danger is over, nothing has been collected.
It looks disturbing.
The main character's name is very old-fashioned.
