Tidal Promise

This is a passionate, heart-wrenching love saga that uses the cycles of the tides as a metaphor for a fated promise. It tells the story of Ye Yuyang and Gu Chaoshen, whose love spans six years and endures the crushing weight of reality and the threat of death. After her family is struck by tragedy when her father becomes paralyzed, the heroine is forced into a marriage arranged in exchange for a bride price, sinking into the pressures of bearing children for a wealthy family and the depths of domestic abuse. The hero becomes a legal-firm elite, silently and patiently protecting her while using the law to fight for her freedom. The story unfolds through separation, struggle, reunion, and redemption, with dramatic courtroom showdowns, nighttime rescues, and tokens of the tides. In the end, with the tides as witness, they break free of social constraints and the cruel twists of fate, fulfilling their promise to be “more punctual than the tides” with a grand seaside wedding.
