I Became a Sage Through Reading, and My Comprehension Has No Limits

While everyone else fights amid flashing blades for spiritual energy, using slaughter to end conflict, Li Xiuyuan follows a path to the Dao unlike any other, immersed in the scent of ink and the pages of books.

His soul inhabits the body of an impoverished woodcutter. His family has nothing, his kind mother is gravely ill, and bullies prey on them. In this desperate situation, he unexpectedly discovers that reciting Buddhist and Daoist scriptures can activate the “Great Dao Scripture-Reading System.” Every word grants strength, spiritual power, and insight. By doing good deeds and accumulating virtue, he can also earn merit and unlock supreme techniques!

The Diamond Sutra makes his body as hard as a diamond. The Medicine Buddha Sutra grants him a pure, radiant light. The Heart Sutra helps him see his true nature. Every recitation brings a small gain, and every moment of enlightenment brings a leap forward. At first, he only wants to save his mother and protect himself. Then he begins doing good, suppressing demons, and enlightening the world. Li Xiuyuan enters the Dao through scripture and draws strength from virtue, ultimately becoming the source of all scriptures.

While countless cultivators still pursue immortality, he has already become the Ancestor of the Scriptures and the Source of the Dao. With the bearing of a sage, he writes a transcendent legend of “awakening oneself and others, perfecting both wisdom and practice” in the vast sea of scriptures, using words to shine a light on the world's suffering.
